Circa 1932. Adorning the historic part of downtown Frankfort, Michigan, The Betsie Bay Inn is a restored Victorian Painted Lady with classic gingerbread exterior. Sitting on Main Street in the quiet village, the sandy beachfront of Lake Michigan is only two blocks away. Walk through the pebble-floored atrium with a shiny copper column and fieldstone planter to sit in a comfy chair by the fire in the spacious lobby. Smoke-free guest bedrooms are warm and inviting. Many feature spas, saunas, steam showers, canopy beds, wood stoves, balconies and lofts. Enjoy Bunty and JoJo's Casual Restaurant or the Tantelle Fine Dining. Hotspur Pub has a nautical ambiance. Visit the ThistleBrae Wine Cellar for an extensive international selection. Browse the Enchanted Loom Gift Shop for treasures to take home.

The moment you walk into the pebble floored atrium entrance with its fieldstone planter and copper column (shiny as a new penny) then enter the lobby with fireplace and cozy chairs you will know you are someplace special. Our rooms with canopied beds, spas, saunas, and wood stoves make the perfect retreat into seclusion. Come down and dine in the candle-lit restaurant, or curl up in front of the fireplace in the spacious lobby. Take a secluded barefoot walk along the gorgeous sandy beaches that stretch for miles north and south of town.

Don't let the bed bugs bite!

Cute inn but we brought a few unwanted crawling souvenirs home with us. Ouch.

Management Response
Upon reading this review, I was horrified and so were the staff! Were they suggesting bedbugs? I have just returned from checking EVERY bed in the Inn (21)and each one is nice and clean. After all the press last year about this sort of thing we decided to err on the side of caution and showed the staff photos from the internet, etc., and instituted a policy that every bed should be checked when it was stripped. We do our own linens here and strip the mattress covers as well as the sheets each time. I do not understand the motivation of this reviewer. We have had no other complaints of this nature. I wish they would call me. Lesley Perkins - Owner- Betsie Bay Inn
