Historic Interest
Built in 1897 by William Sidney Smith, a South Carolina attorney and state representative and started operating as an Inn in 1936. One of the units that housed the Beaufort Female Benevolent Society House was built in 1895 by Captain Neils Christensen and was used to educate and provide relief for destitute children.
