Delightful

We have been delighted to spend three days with you. Tom made us feel so at home as he welcomed us to the Baird House. We were very intrigued at the history behind this beautiful place. The food here is amazing from the homemade cookies to the down home country breakfast. It was so nice to have resources like the 2 of you to go to for recommendations on shopping & restaurant choices. We feel very grateful you sent us only to the best. The Aunt Dee room has so much charm and character. We enjoyed relaxing in this quaint room. Amazing property, delicious food, and genuine Southern hospitality have certainly made for these memorable days.

Must Stay !

We stayed in the Apple View room for 3 nights and wished we could stay longer! The scenery around the house was breath-taking, surrounded by the beautiful Watauga river and picturesque mountains! The house was classy and Tom and Dede are hip and fun: they provide detailed attention that made us feel at home. I recommend this place without hesitation...

Best B & B of our trip

My husband and I drove the Blue Ridge Parkway and stayed at various B&B's along the way. The Baird House was our favorite. Tom welcomed us with a rich history of the house and area. Tom and DeeDee are very welcoming hosts. Breakfast was the best by far! Scrambled eggs, hashbrown casserole, homemade biscuits and jelly, bacon, coffee, fruit, muffins, granola and the best chocolate chip/pecan cookies ever. We loved our stay here and will definitely return!

A wonderful time at the Baird House

What a wonderful mini-vacation from reality we have had. The Baird House is beautiful. We loved learning the history & feel as if we were spending time with friends. Thank you for such a welcoming experience. We can't wait to return to the High Country again.

Our favorite NC mountain B&B

We have been to the Baird House B&B many times since 1997 because it's our favorite inn. Its location on the river is beautiful, the rooms are warm & cozy, Deede's big country breakfasts are amazing ( she has her own cookbook ),Deede & Tom focus their attentions on their guests' comfort and offer a wealth of info on things to do in the area ( they provided us with maps & detailed directions ). The house has an amazing history since it's the oldest in the area. We can't say enough wonderful things about this inn. Being near Boone,NC makes it close to many activities & restaurants.
