B-day getaway

From the moment we enter the house i knew i did not need to experiment anymore, the personal attention from Lynne and Bob, made us feel welcome, The room was very clean and everything in place, she cooked and serve a complete homade breakfast, every morning was a surprise, she keep us company while we ate and help us plan our day by sugesting places, she is very familiar with the area, it was cold and snowy but we still enjoy very much, we already make reservation for another stay in July, Can not wait!

Romantic Anniversary Memory

What a beautiful and relaxing place to stay. We had so much fun. Time went so fast. We hated to leave. We were always anxious to get back to the coziness of our home away from home at the end of a fun filled day in beautiful Lancaster. Lynne and Bob were wonderful hosts and we thank them so much for making it a special 30th Anniversary trip.

Great Weekend

My boyfriend and I had such a nice stay at the Inn. The weather was perfect and we were able to sit out on the porch and enjoy the weather and later relax in our room. We slept late and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast. I would definitely go back for a longer visit.

Worth Every Penny

I recently stayed at the Australian Walkabout Inn on a weekend getaway with my boyfriend. Lynne and Bob thought of every possible detail! We got a couples' massage and enjoyed champagne and chocolates while relaxing in the hot tub. Breakfast was delicious. Perfect place to stay for a weekend to get away from it all!

Romantic

My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in the outback cottage. It was the most romantic getaway in all of our 25 years together. It was very warm and cozy. We tell everyone to stay there. We look forward to returning there for another stay.

Romantic Engagement

My boyfriend and I went to the AWI just to get away and relax. What a wonderful experience it turned out to be. Lynn and Bob, were great. The room, breakfast, hot tub, and complimentary wine and snacks were just divine. The most special moment for us was the romantic picnic we had at the nearby park that Lynn directed us to. On the grass, by a stream and an old wooden bridge. It was beautiful. My boyfriend was so inspired that he proposed to me, although he did not go there with that intention. Needless to say, we love it there and can't wait to go back.

InnSide Tip - Things to do
For a great family style meal visit The Good and Plenty restaurant, and Miller's Smorgasbord. Also, the Kitchen Kettle Village, and Bird in the Hand for local crafts, food, and antiques. Don't forget to ask Lynn about the nearby park for a romantic walk or picnic.

Romantic

My husband and I stayed at the Australian Walkabout Inn before he was deployed to Iraq. They went out of there way to make our stay memorable. They gave us the private room in the back. From the moment you step on the grounds you feel the enchantment of love and romance. The entire place from the food to the decor is romance and we loved every minute we were there.

Beautiful and Romantic

My husband and I came here for our honey moon. Not only was our room (the outback cottage) romantic, it was relaxing. We felt very secluded and had tons of privacy. It's a beautiful place! My husband and I plan on coming back every year for our anniversary.

Romantic Getaway - Not Miles Away!

What can we say about a B&B that is so special we have returned for several anniversaries, birthdays and even on the weekend before major surgery? Living in the Northeast US there are so many places to "getaway" to for a change. We actually choose to return to the Walk-About Inn, again and again, because of its comfortable familiarity; it's warmth; and its consistency as a home away from home. Romantically, this is a good thing - because, we're very relaxed at the Inn and especially enjoy the private time we need while away. And, let me underscore all of this that by telling everyone that we booked the entire Inn for our friends in April 2008. Each couple reported falling in love with each other again...AND WITH THE AUSTRALIAN WALK ABOUT INN!!!! Marc & Betsy LeVine Freehold, NJ stffgpr2003@yahoo.com

A Romantic Anniversary

We decided to spend our 22nd anniversary at the Australian Walkabout Inn. It was such a lovely experience. The hosts took great care of us and provided us with the perfect environment for a romantic getaway. We laughed, we cried, it was better than "Cats".

Among the Best

My wife and I have had the privledge of staying at the Inn more than a half dozen times over the course of two ownership changes. The good news is that excellence has always been maintained. It is hard to criticize any aspect of a visit to the Walkabout. So far, it has never had a "bad day" since we started going there. It is fairly priced and you get good value from all the amenities. It is warm, cozy and always welcoming. The new Innkeepers, Lynne and Bob are very caring people and you are treated more like family than paying customers. We won't go anyplace else.

Picture Perfect B&B

The Walkabout Inn itself and its surroundings are truly relaxing, romantic and quaint. It's the kind of place that both of us wanted and pictured in our minds, even before we decided to make reservations.
