Description

Circa 1853. Just a few miles from where gold was discovered in Coloma stands this completely restored miners' boarding house. Mining cars dating back to the original Woodside Mine Camp are on-site. The lode still runs under the inn. There is a Jacuzzi, croquet field, ping pong and complimentary mountain bikes. In the evenings, guests are treated to complimentary wines and hors d'oeuvres. Georgetown was a designated site for the California gold discovery celebration.

A Rare Jewel of a Find

We loved the place, should have stayed longer but we were on motorcycles and had to get back with the group. The inn was just what we needed, and Maria and Will are the best. When traveling back their way we will visit again. The Inn was one of the brite spots in our motorcycle adventure trip.

Astronishing Visits Each Time

Our home away from home. We fell in love here in all its beauty and will be back for our fourth visit in April, another honeymoon for six days.

Excellent stay

What a lovely hotel an American River Inn is!! We stayed there with a group of friends for 1 night on our way to Nevada City and really fell in love with everything in this hotel. The interios Victorian decoration is great, the rooms are beautiful, each item in the hotel was chosen with taste and love. We had wine and delicious sandwiches in the evening and a great English style breakfast in the morning. The owners of the hotel make you feel at home and try their everything best to comfort you.

Valorie and Rick

We just got home from a lovely B&B experience at this Inn. The owners are darling and make you feel at home. They take excellent care that all your needs are met. The Victorian decor is so cozy and there is something to see, be it unique or antique, everywhere. The evening was fun with conversation, wine and yummy appetizers. The morning starts with coffee and an excellent breakfast. Your cup is never empty. Just a great getaway experience.
