Circa 1921. Built in 1921 as the girls' dormitory for the Stanley McCormick School, in 1991 it became Terrell House Bed and Breakfast. The B&B inn is situated in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains just 45 minutes from Asheville, in Burnsville, North Carolina. The quiet neighborhood is within an easy walk to historic downtown. Sit on a front porch rocker or by the fire in the parlor. Read or watch a movie in the library/TV room. There is an outdoor gazebo and a barbecue pit. Air-conditioned guest bedrooms are all named after females and boast sitting areas and well-appointed furnishings. Patricia's Room features a hand-painted clawfoot tub. Start each day with a hearty breakfast in the formal dining room before embarking on the day's adventures and excursions.

Innkeeper Note

Burnsville is American like it used to be. And Terrell House is a picture-perfect house to base yourself for local things to do or to just chill out. Terrell House is a charming converted Colonial style house with 6 bedrooms, all with privacy and their own bathrooms. The house was a girls dormitory for a Presbyterian school, albeit some years ago. There is lots to do, see our web site, or you can sit and do nothing. Come and see us.

Thank you for the wonderful lodging.It is a special stop on our family trip and the whole experience has been great. the hospitality that you have shown is terrific and we have enjoyed oour two day stay in your state. The atmosphere and the leaves turning are exceptional and the nice cool evenings have been lovely.
