About Our Rooms
Elida's Room
Bright colors are the key throughout this suite, featuring an unusual thirteen piece set of painted country furniture. While we sometimes think of antique furnishings as muted and dark, in truth the Victorians reveled in color and lots of it. Elida's Room is a wonderful example of that lively Victorian taste.
Featuring a queen size bed and private bath with tub and shower
Kathleen's Room
An elegant area in pink and lavender tones, Kathleen's room features impressive walnut furnishings. Don't miss the unique locking system on the armoire. One can easily picture the man of the house keeping his celluloid collars and cuffs - and who knows what else? - carefully locked away from small prying hands.
While the plumbing has been modernized, the fixtures are original. You'll enjoy soaking in the massive claw footed tub.
Martha's Room
Pink-and-white magnolias on a dark blue background cover the walls of Martha's room. A large country-style armoire and handsome marble-topped walnut furniture enhance the decor. The dresser, in particular, is a wonderful example of high Victorian style, featuring small dresser-top drawers and a tall mirror with ornate carving and candle-holders. Be sure to notice the several pieces of "tramp art".
Featuring a queen size bed and a bath with tub and shower
Marjorie's Room
Less formal than our other rooms, Marjorie's room is light and airy with a country-style decor. The two antique brass beds invite you to a calm peaceful rest.
Featuring two beds, a single and a double, and a bath with tub and shower
Innkeeper Note
For more than 160 years, Susquehanna Manor Inn has regally stood… watching over the river town of Marietta, PA. Conveniently located between Lancaster, York and Hershey, Susquehanna Manor has become “home” to vacationers and business travelers alike.
The mansion has been updated and restored and is loaded with antiques. Come join us and step back to a quieter, more relaxed time. (Although we do have wireless internet!) Each room is elegantly decorated from the tile fireplace to the sweeping staircase to the guest rooms (each individually named after famous women of Susquehanna Manor).
Included is our hearty breakfast, served in our mahogany-lined dining room or out on our wraparound porch (if weather permits). Banana-crème French toast... crab quiche… a platter of fresh fruit… You won’t leave hungry!
In addition to being a Bed & Breakfast, Susquehanna Manor is a really special setting for a wedding. Our beautifully landscaped grounds comfortably accommodate 150 people or more.
We have lots of baby showers, parties and teas, too. Oftentimes in our “Music Room” (with 12 ft tall windows) or on our porch which seats 40 people and is a great place to sit and reflect (perhaps with some wine) deep into the night!
If you are coming to the area, Susquehanna Manor is a fabulous place to spend a few nights. We look forward to seeing you!
