Sundance Trail Guest Ranch
Circa 1665. Granite rock outcroppings, whispering aspen groves, riding trails and stately pines inhabit the 140 acres of Sundance, a dude ranch two hours from the Denver airport. In addition to horseback riding, there is rock climbing, jeep trekking, white water rafting, skiing or hammocking. The lodge, dining room and sitting room offer rock fireplaces, and there are decks for stargazing or breathing in the fresh morning air, coffee in hand. The ranch's cabins and suites all have private entrances, decks, refrigerators and coffee makers among other amenities. Eagle's Nest, open all day, is the lodge's main evening spot and houses a spa, billiards, ping pong and board games.
