Stonecroft Country Inn

Hello! My husband and I love New England - and after my husband's 2-year-stay in Boston we visit New England every year. Last year we stayed a few days in this inn. All was perfect, the housekeepers very friendly and the breakfast - mhhh, it was excellent!!! We recommend this inn with 5 hearts! We have stayed in many many inns but we have fallen in love with Stonecroft. Jason and his staff are the best.. Shaheen, the head chef is an artist. Just recently, we went to Stonecroft for our 30th anniversary. It was a magical time. Stay there, you will not regret it.

Our stay at Stonecroft was delightful. The staff and management are friendly and go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. The Inn itself is charming, and our suite was beautiful and luxurious. On top of all that, the Inn is conveniently located to all area attractions. I look forward to our next visit soon!

I surprised my fiance for his 40th birthday and we stayed in the Sarah Suite. Very nice. The food and service were outstanding. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast to anyone. Thank you.

This was by far the most beatiful, romantic place we have ever stayed. With two houses to chose from, there is something for everyone. We chose the "old" house filled with charm and history. Breakfast was delious and our hostess' went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we needed. What an extraordinary place. Cant wait to go back!!

We always have a lovely time at Stonecroft Inn. The rooms are New England cozy, many with fireplaces and whirlpool baths. The grounds are picturesque, and the proprietors are friendly and helpful in every way.

The Stonecroft is a relaxing, cozy, romantic Inn. The lovely views of the garden area and the chirping of the birds only add to its charm. My husband and I loved our room with its comfortable bed, linens, robes, whirlpool tub, heated towel rack and of course, the warm gas fireplace! It is comfortable, charming and inviting--an experience long remembered!

For our 20th anniversary in December, we spent 3 romantic nights in the Orchard Room. The decor in our room and throughout was beautifully done. We enjoyed the in-room fireplace, but also relaxed for hours in the common room with large stone fireplace. The bed was incredibly comfortable. We enjoyed breakfast while viewing the pastoral landscaping (arbors, birds, fountains, etc.) through the wall-to-wall French doors. We can't wait to go back!

It was our anniversary. We were looking for a quiet place not far from civilization. The Inn is a 10 min drive from various entertainment but it is in a quiet residential neighborood set amidst a huge yard. The hostess was welcoming and friendly. She showed us what was available to us at the Inn and gave us very good recommendations for our evening out. Our romm was large, clean and comfortable with lots of extras! We couldn't have asked for more.

We went to Stonecroft Inn to celebrate my husbands birthday. This was our first visit to the inn and hopefully not our last. The service was wonderful, the grounds beautiful and the restaurant amazing.

We had the pleasure of staying at this incredibly romantic and nostalgic inn. Our room was cozy and intimate while the food was fantastic. This was an especially joyous occasion since it was our engagement weekend.

My wife and I met and were married while living and working in CT so this area is special to us. We chose to stay at Stonecroft Inn due to its location but found the staff and accommodations also exceeded our expectations. We were upgraded to a premium room featuring a romantic canopy bed, sitting area with fireplace and private bath with spa. Our visit was relaxing as well as romantic and we wll definately stay at Stonecroft on our next trip to Connecticut.

I had my wedding at the inn in August of '09. We booked the entire inn for the weekend and it was spectacular and very romantic. The grounds are georgous and secluded and the rooms are perfect.

Stonecroft Country Inn in VA is one of the most beautiful and most romantic inns we have visited and we have stayed in many all over the country. My husband&I stayed for his birthday,it turned out to be a vacation weekend for us both.As parents to a 20 month old Stonecroft was a dream come true!The food& service was wonderful,we didn't want to leave&return to normal life!I wouldn't hesitate to stay again.The jacuzzi tub&cozy fire place were just heaven,as was the french doors leading out to the garden!

We stayed here for our 25th Anniversary, and it was by far the most romantic room we've ever stayed in. From the large comfy bed, to the gas fireplace, and the amazing 'bathroom' with a hot tub adjacent to an open shower, and the heated towel rack. We felt like a king and queen! The breakfast was also fabulous.

Dinner was excellent, Presentation of the meal was wonderful. The room was very comfortable and romantic. It was easy to "get in the mood" The only negative was the size of the robes in the room. They were very small for a one size fits all. The decor, flowers, candles etc were all excellent and I would recommend it to a friend with no hesitation.

We enjoyed two wonderful evenings with a fabulous intimate dinner on Fri, night and wonderful gormet breakfasts each morning. Would love to return again soon.

If you want to stay at a romantic paradise getaway Stonecroft Inn at Ledyard, Connecticut is the place to travel. I stayed one night for our wedding anniversary and the staff went over and beyond with courteous hospitality. A bottle of wine,coffee,and pastries were in our room on arrival. The chef cooked us a superb dinner and breaKfast the next day.The grounds are breathtaking.

We had our rehearsal dinner there. The staff was wonderful, the accommodations beautiful, and overall a great experience. We will definitely be returning.

we have nothing but praise for this wonderful inn..we could not have been better cared for ..the location was very country (rabbits, deer, etc.) the food was exquisite.the beef tenderloin perfect, the pork tenderloin delicious..the rooms were immaculate..we were warmly greeted upon arrival and had all our questions answered..we were there with family to join in a wedding celebration and all who attended remarked what a wonderful place to spend a special weekend

Stonecroft has the best of both worlds. We stayed in the historic building. The hall mural is beautiful. The newer building has a wonderful room with beautiful woodwork and walls that are stunning. We sat in this room and looked out the french doors at the changing trees full of color and savored a breakfast fit for kings and queens. We have been to Mystic seaport 11 times, and did not realize this gem sits very close to the town.

My husband and I were looking for a place to "destress" and we have found it! From the minute we pulled into the driveway we felt the charm of the Stonecroft Inn. We had a wonderful time and it was quite romantic and relaxing. Can't wait to visit again!!!

My husband & I stayed here in May 2010 for our honeymoon weekend. The inn was perfect! We loved our room. The European bathroom was gorgeous and luxurious. The grounds are so peaceful. The hospitality was impressive and the food delicious! We are thinking of staying again for an anniversary getaway! We loved being close to Mystic and all there is to do there but just outside of the busy town.

Spending our 45th wedding anniversary at Stonecroft Inn may have been the most romantic anniversary yet. The room was beautifully appointed with beautiful bedding and furnishings. The fireplace definitely added to the ambiance. The grounds are lovely and we enjoyed dining in the elegant restaurant just steps away from our suite. We will certainly be returning to Stonecroft Inn.

My husband and I have stayed here twice in the past year. It has become our spot to reconnect and enjoy. The rooms, food and service are outsatnding.

No doubt about it....We've always had a very enjoyable stay,recently last Winter. Always a cozy warm feel,including the double spa-tub (in the grange). Very clean rooms with the ambiance you need, we've tried them all. definitely would stay again.

We stayed at the Stonecroft and considered it for the venue for our wedding. Unfortunately we didn't get to use it for that but we were sorely tempted as the inn has a beautiful peaceful feel to it, excellent food and gracious friendly staff. We would recommend it to anyone looking for a romantic weekend away from the hustle bustle of daily life.

We've stayed in both the Orlando and Lily rooms and were so impressed with each stay. The Orlando room is so tastefully decorated and was just the perfect room for a fall weekend stay. We've given the Orlando room as a gift for our parents, and we've recommended it to many. The restaurant is such a treat... one of our favorites. Writing this review makes me want to go there this weekend... maybe we will.

We had a quite romantic enjoyable weekend.

A long time ago my wife and I spent a delightful weekend at the Stonecroft. We had one of the upstairs fireplace rooms in the main house. This was before the Grange was built. Years pass, feelings change, and life rolls on with all the usual human foibles. We found ourselves back at the Stonecroft, the same room, older, wiser and still in love. Thanks for showing us romance again.

My partner and I held our wedding at Stonecroft this past April. It was like a fairy tale event. The inn is so beautiful and accommodating. The little touches made the entire weekend so romantic and special that we will never forget it.

I visited the Stonecroft Inn last October and had the most marvelous time. I travelled by myself, because my husband couldn't get away, and I was dying to see the October foliage. I found the Stonecroft in a book of the best inns in New England. I called several different inns and found the people I spoke with at the Stonecroft so lovely and inviting that I knew it was the place I wanted to go to. I couldn't have been more delighted. It was everything and more that the book described. The setting, my beautiful room, the great food, and the wonderful staff were absolutely perfect. I still look back on my adventure with great longing. I would greatly like to share the experience with my husband, because it is truly a romantic place. I know that he would love it as much as I did. I actually still carry around in my cell phone the pictures that I took. I can't think of a more romantic and beautiful place to share with someone you love - (and by yourself is also wonderful).

We have stayed at Stonecroft many times and have always enjoyed it. The rooms in the Grange are particularly well set up and we love it that after a day exploring or relaxing you can just walk downstairs for dinner.

I believe it is under new management now, but we had a wonderful time staying there Summer, 2009. Great staff, really nice clean rooms. My expectations are rather high and were totally met. Can't wait to go back and enjoy the restaurant as it wasn't open for dinner the first time we went, however, the breakfast was exellent.

Great place to stay. It was beautiful, romantic, charming, and very clean and the owners couldn't have been nicer or more helpful.

We stayed at the Stonecroft in November. It was one of the most comfortable places that we have stayed at. The rooms were private, cozy, comfortable and clean. The grounds were beautiful and the restaurant was AMAZING. Looking forward to going back.

We stayed at Stonecroft for Thanksgiving and visited Mystic Seaport. Our daughters loved their room with fireplace and played Earthopoly (we had to buy our own for home after the vacation.) The Thanksgiving dinner was fantastic. Thank you Stonecroft.

If you are looking for a quiet, rural setting and luxurious accommodations, this is definitely a place to consider. The historical buildings have been renovated beautifully, the bedding is top-grade, the gardens and stone walls lend a romantic elegance to the grounds and the menu is varied and original. Located near the historic seaport town of Mystic, CT, there is an abundance of things to do, if you really want to stray from this elegant and relaxing environment. It was the site of a 3-day family celebration of my 80th birthday, culminating in a party for 60 plus guests. Everything was handled with ease and grace. I would recommend it highly.

My wife and I spent a night at Stonecroft last October. We have been married 27 years and have two sons, 21 and 14. It is difficult to get away for a weekend, sometimes all we have is 24 hours. We spent the best 24 hours at Stonecroft. It was a piece of heaven. The staff was incredible. Looking forward to coming back this fall.

We stayed at the Stonecroft Inn for a weekend and fell in love with it. We felt very pampered by the luxurious towels and robes. The room was beautiful and comfortable. Dinner was delicious. We spent time by the fireplace in our room and felt very cosy. We will return.
