The hospitality, charm, warmth and especially the food are 2nd to none! These wonderful hostesses make your stay in their fabulous home an experience like coming home! This place is worth a 100 mile detour. We will return! Linda and Faye, Well Done!

Haven

My goodness from the moment we arrived we were treated like family but we were given privacy as well. The hospitality, food, INN were perfection. Lynda actually went out to pick up dinner for us in the next village. I wish I could attach a picture because the breakfasts were exceptional and yummy eaten on the porch watching the deer. Lots of room to go for long walks and places to watch the sun go down or up for that matter.

So welcoming!

From the moment we were greeted at the door of this lovely country estate, we were thoroughly spoiled! The innkeepers had thought of every possible detail to make our stay comfortable. The sideboard and our room were stocked with a variety of treats. The bathroom toiletry cabinet held anything we might have forgotten to pack. Most notable and important about this B & B, however, was the way we were treated as valued friends. Lynda is a fabulous cook, and even went so far as to pack-up my unfinished, much- too-generously sized breakfast for me to take home. One evening, Chuck cheerfully escorted us to a restaurant when we were unsure of directions. And Francis...what a pistol!!

Romantic and Special

"When you are here you're family" should be Stone Rose Bed and Breakfast's motto... we have stayed here numerous times for many reasons that I will share with you. We live locally and when we need to get away from the stress and demands of everyday life, we book a weekend at Stone Rose B&B. From the moment we walk in the door to the time we need to leave we are treated to the most special of times. We are treated like members of the family who have come for the holidays, with the exception of the fact that we do not need to lift a finger to do anything for ourselves. Our suite is always comfortable and filled with little touches here and there that most places would never think of; fresh flowers, chocolates, fireplace, music set to our favorite station and a variety of books to browse thru in our suite or in their library which is like a page out of history. The innkeepers go out of their way to accommodate you by making your dinner reservations after reviewing with you the many choices in the area. When you arrive home from dinner a home baked dessert waits for you in your room. When you wake in the morning and head downstairs you hear the soft cheerful voices in the kitchen as they prepare your breakfast and the aromas promise you that something delicious is on its' way. As you enter the dining room which is filled with sunshine and the old Victorian charm that compliments the personalities of our innkeepers you start to wish that you could make your stay longer than it is. Lynda & Frances take turns coming into the dining room to serve you and give you the quiet you would like or the conversation that lifts your spirits as you make plans for the day. You must plan to take your time and enjoy your breakfast as there are many courses of delicious treats that appear every time the kitchen door opens. Lynda has many talents as an Innkeeper; her culinary skills are spot on and a real treasure. In the winter we enjoy snowshoeing on their private estate of open spaces and secluded trails. Lynda will even be your photographer as you make your way through the snow and if sledding is more your speed, they have the BEST hills for sledding and snowboarding. In the spring and summer we love to sit on their porch that oversees the most beautiful and fragrant rose garden as we enjoy their many flavors of tea and play board games, read or put together a puzzle. Make sure to visit their gift shop which is another surprise in itself, some of the most beautiful items which will come with a story and a history provided by Lynda makes your shopping an experience in itself. When you pack to leave it is a bittersweet moment of being grateful for having had the opportunity to be able to get away from it all and enjoy yourself with peace and relaxation and the bit of sadness of having to say goodbye. You will want to have your calendar handy before you say goodbye so that you can schedule your next visit. I promise you that you will be happy that you did, for just like when you say goodbye to a parent or other loved ones at the end of a visit you will already be looking forward to when you will be back again for another visit at Stone Rose B&B.

InnSide Tip - Love
Be prepared for a one of a kind experience that is given to you by the innkeepers. They only want to please you, share with them when booking your stay exactly what you like or would expect and you will not be disappointed.
