Description

Circa 1957. Guests at the Steamboat Inn enjoy "the greatest stretch of summer steelhead water in the United States." Some accommodations feature a veranda view overlooking the river. The cottages have fireplaces, soaking tubs and mini-kitchens, while the River Suites are distinguished by king-size beds and soaking tubs that overlook the river. The innkeeper's famous cookbook, "Thyme and the River" boasts recipes and reflections of life at Steamboat. The dinner hour here is legendary.

Streamside Cabins

The Streamside Cabins are carpeted and pine paneled, with comfortable furnishings, private baths, and spacious decks overlooking the North Umpqua at its most magnificent. Fine photographs, interesting prints, hand quilted comforters and Vermont Castings gas stoves complement these one room cabins. Imagine being lulled to sleep by the sounds of the North Umpqua!

Rates: $175 - $175

Hideaway Cottages

The Hideaway Cottages are located one-half mile from the Inn in a wooded setting (these units do not have a river view.) Each cottage features a living room with fireplace, king size bed in the master bedroom, a large bath with tiled soaking tub, a sleeping loft, and a mini-kitchen for snacks and light housekeeping. Imagine spending a long winter's evening in one of these warm and cozy chalets!

Rates: $215 - $215

River Suites

The River Suites combine the luxury of the Hideaway Cottages and the river views of the Streamside Cabins. Each River Suite features a living room with a fireplace, mini-kitchen, soaking tub overlooking the river, king bed, private deck, air conditioning and other amenities that add up to the best of everything! Perfect for the romantic getaway.

Rates: $300 - $300

Camp Water Houses

The Camp Water Houses are three-bedroom houses with either one or one-and-a-half baths. The Houses were built on the site of the old tent camp and the North Umpqua Lodge - across the river from the Inn, above the camp water and next to the Mott Trail. We are pleased to have arranged a lease with the participation of the State of Oregon and the U.S. Forest Service. This unique partnership allows us to offer full housekeeping units to those guests who want to do more of their own cooking, washing, etc. (Now why would anyone want to do such a thing?) We think these places are perfect for families with children.

Rates: $215 - $245
