Circa 1923. Accented with detailed woodwork, original light fixtures and tiles throughout, this elegant Georgian Colonial mansion was built and owned by August Stange, a northeast Oregon lumber baron. Each of the guest bedrooms is unique in size, décor and history; while offering excellent views of the rose garden, grounds, local hills and mountains. Breakfast includes fresh fruits, homemade breads, granola, a specialty entrée, juices and coffee served in the formal dining room. History buffs can study the Oregon Trail or tour many local sites in La Grande and nearby Baker City, Pendleton and Joseph.
