Beautiful, welcoming, relaxing place to stay!

My husband and I have stayed with Carolyn & Eddie at Springhill Plantation Winery B&B for 2 years in a row and plan to continue coming back. We stayed in the Merlot Room which has a king size bed and en suite bathroom. Carolyn & Eddie are very friendly and personable and there is a mini fridge with cold bottled water and there are always treats available--chocolate and hard candy, cake/cookies/brownies, etc. Breakfast each day is an event not to be missed and features different items each day (biscuits & gravy, fruit & yogurt, bacon/sausage/country ham, filled pancakes, breakfast pie with puff pastry, coffee cakes, hashbrown casserole, bread pudding French toast with Bourbon syrup, and Eddie's grits with a kick) :) The grounds are beautiful and you can relax with a drink in one of several swings, benches, or one of the patios

Wonderful Wine and Romantic Setting

This B&B was so much fun! Carolyn and Eddie were incredibly kind, and they told great stories. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The inside of the inn and the grounds were beautiful - we're excited to go back!

Charming!

What a lovely B & B. Eddie and Carolyn are a wonderful couple with some very good wines and great conversation. This is a very charming B & B. We enjoy staying at B & B's - this one is very reasonably priced. We had a wedding here and it was the perfect venue and turned out beautifully. I couldn't be more thrilled!

InnSide Tip - Wedding
If you are considering a venue for a wedding I must suggest Springhill Plantation. I found the cost very reasonable and somewhat of a bargain when compared to other options. The vineyard was a lovely backdrop for the ceremony and our family loved having the reception here. I definitely highly recommend planning your special day here!

Bourbon trail with a splash of wine

If you like history, you will love the Springhill Plantation. Eddie and Carolyn have done their homework about the history of their B&B. They have great stories to tell and they are both awesome to talk with. Springhill is located close to both a few distilleries and a few wineries. We are already planning a return visit later this year.

Loved this place

We really enjoyed our stay here. We thought the hosts were very friendly and charming. The food was great. I could not believe the variety of items they served and they all tasted great. I especially liked that the hosts joined us for breakfast. They were quite entertaining. It is clear that they love what they are doing. It shows. The rooms here are lovely and very comfortable. I highly recommend this place.

Best secret in Kentucky

In the heart of Kentucky, a.k.a , Bourbon Country (and yes, there are some nice looking horses strolling along fields outlined with white board fences), is this little winery making an impact. Just 15 minutes East of Bardstown (my Old Kentucky Home), and in the middle of some of the best Bourbon Distilleries that turns limestone filtered water into a soothing nectar, is this historic house with bedrooms large enough to hold small parties in. I have stayed in B&B's from Sonoma, CA to Bar Harbor, Maine. This is the best. But, don't tell anyone!! E.J. Foltz

Wonderfull B&B in burbon region

Great location, easy to find, beautiful setting. Wonderful old home, in near perfect condition, located in a working winery, who could ask for more. The room was well done and the king size bed was wonderful. Owners are extremely open and friendly. They were there when you had questions, every need was meet, and the breakfast was wonderful, something for everyone. Quiet, beautiful, and peaceful. We hope to return.

Walk back in time.

Great change of pace after leaving Nashville. The inn is beautiful and the rooms perfect. The high ceilings and large windows beckon you to wander outside. The food that Carolyn and Eddie put out for breakfast is superb. The breakfast gave us the energy to tackle the Bourbon Trail. Be sure to check out their wines, we enjoyed them and loved the port.

Wedding!

We chose this beautiful location for our wedding. Everything was perfect! Eddie and Carolyn had everything covered from the food on Friday night, the minister, flowers , and a fabulous dinner for the reception! I didn't have to worry about anything! We had my husband's family coming in from Montreal and they were amazed and loved the southern hospitality. The huge breakfast each morning with Eddie's stories topped the weekend off. We didn't want to leave! Highly recommend staying here!!

A Lovely Plantation/Winery B&B

My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary. We spent the night at Springhill Plantation B&B. Upon our arrival we were treated to a wine tasting - deeeelicious! We were given a tour of the home when we were checked into our room (The Chardonnay) which was just gorgeous! The downstairs rooms were in the style of the mid-late 1800's and we were half expecting to see a southern belle or two sashaying down that staircase. Outside, we checked out the grounds and the vinyard and were accompanied by their unofficial greeter, Pumpkin - a cute little outdoor cat. It was just so peaceful out there. The owners, Eddie and Carolyn were wonderful hosts and their wines are fantastic. The B&B has a very interesting history that was told to us by Eddie as he served us a wonderful southern-style breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay and we can't wait to come back in the fall. You'll Love This Place!

This is a gem of a Bed & Breakfast. We have stayed at several B&B's over the years and this one is by far the best. The food is phenomenal. We came for the Derby, but stayed for the hospitality, food, and beautiful surroundings. The breakfast meals are to die for!

Eddie and Carolyn and staff are friendly and wonderful. The entire place was clean and well kept. Breakfast was great, and I enjoyed hearing stories and history of house and property.
