Three acres of Vermont countryside create a secluded setting for the Snow Goose Inn. Renovations in 1998 include the addition of Southern pine floors and private decks. Hand-hewn beams from an old country barn were fashioned into a new grand entry and a duplex honeymoon suite was created. (The new suite offers two decks with mountain and valley views, a Jacuzzi tub, fireplace and sitting area.) Most of the other antique-filled rooms also include a fireplace, VCR, stereo and double Jacuzzi tub. Hypo-allergenic feather mattresses and comforters are additional features. Hearty breakfasts include cereals, fresh fruit, juices, breads and entrees such as wild mushrooms and herb scrambled eggs, French toast stuffed with bananas. Evening wine and cheese is offered on one of the porches with views to the pond and flower gardens or by fireside in winter.
