Silas Griffith was Vermont's first millionnaire. We have Vermont's first telephone on our reception wall and one of the largest cherry wood round pocket doors (8 feet wide) in this area. We also have authentic 1891 fireplaces, stained glass windows, wood floors, walls, cabinets throughout the common area as well as the original carriage house.
