We had the opportunity to have dinner at this historic inn. It was a pleasure to visit a piece of Florida history. Dinner, however, was a little disapointing. Although well prepared and served, portions were much to be desired. We had a five course meal. The mixed green salad was alright, as was the bisque soup. The appetizer was three small shrimp with a jambalaya sause and a block of fried grits, again small but tasty. The main plate was two small chicken breasts with a three berry sauce over asparagus spears. No bread, no potatoes, no rice. Someone noticed that children at another table had french fries. One dad went over and took a couple fries. Dessert was probably the most disapointing. It included a large strawberry dipped in chocolate and a piece of cheese cake that was no larger than 1 inch square. Would I go back, probably not.
