Innkeeper Note
Seascape was built in 1840 and transported to Key West from the Bahamas in 1858. This charming Key West treasure was originally a private mansion and then a Boarding House until renovated into the lovely Bed and Breakfast it is today. Once here, you will be captivated by this beautiful little gem, reminiscent of the Key West of yesteryear. New Plymouth in the Abacos is the sister city of Key West, it has produced many of the "Conchs" who relocated and settled in the Florida Keys.
“About Your Hosts”
Innkeepers, Dave & Marcia Zensinger moved to incredible Key West in 1999. In a Ryder Truck, packed to the gills with what was left of their paired down possessions, they drove down the Keys Highway to follow the dream. Leaving a typical corporate lifestyle in Washington, DC. they traded in their “stuff”, bought a new red truck for the adventure. Dave left his career as a Financial Analyst working at the University of Virginia, George Washington University Hospital and, later for Andersen Consulting. Marcia retired from her position as Vice President for Medstar Healthcare in Washington, D.C. Never looking back, they bought and sold two guesthouses in Key West between (the Washington Street Inn & Casa Key West), finally landing on this beautiful gem located on Olivia Street. Seeing the fabulous potential in this neglected beauty, Dave and Marcia have painstakingly restored Seascape to its original glory.
Marcia and Dave are hands-on Innkeepers. Aided by a talented Guest Services Manager and a housekeeper, they are the team that will make your stay at Seascape extraordinary.
