Almost three miles away is Buttermilk Falls, which becomes even more mystifying in the winter when the waters freeze. Outdoors enthusiasts enjoy trekking along Healdville Trail, which is about four miles away. Considered as the newest and most beautiful skiing sites in the Okemo Mountain is the Jackson Gore Ski Area, only a mile from the center of Ludlow.
