There are also Sno-Parks and trail access for snowmobiling, as well as many county and Forest Service roads closed during the winter, but open for recreation. Leavenworth is a quaint village nestled in the foothills of the Cascades, and part of the Cascade Loop Scenic Highway and Stevens Pass Greenway. Located near the center of the state of Washington, it is only 2-3 hours from several airports, including Seattle, Spokane, Pasco, and Moses Lake.
