Circa 1930. Enjoy sea breezes and ocean vistas at this inn, which rests on a bluff looking out to the Pacific. Most of the accommodations include a wood-burning fireplace and feather bed. Four junior suites are available in the Stratton House, and each affords a spectacular ocean view. There are six cottages on the grounds, most offering a sea view. The innkeepers also offer deluxe accommodations in four special suites. Each has an ocean view, wood-burning fireplace, private entrance and a deck, whirlpool or ocean view tub. The grounds, which now feature gardens, were the site of an 1870s brewery. The inn is less than half a mile from Mendocino.
