I've never been a great fan of Jersey Shore accommodations - most are in seedy neighborhoods, not well maintained and the only culinary options nearby are fast food joints. Sandy Hook Cottage is the EXCEPTION. This bed & breakfast is close to the beach AND within walking distance to several outstanding restaurants (ask the owners, Nick & Eddy, to recommend their favorite choices). The B & B is charming, well-appointed and they provide an awesome breakfast buffet! (Can you tell that good food matters to me :-) They have bike rentals too so you can work off the huge meal riding to the beach and then kick back for a relaxing soak in the jacuzzi. Sweeeet!! Nick & Eddy are very accommodating and they also respect your privacy (ie, no "hovering"). It's refreshing to stay at place where you are given free reign throughout the home, provided that you respect their house rules. We loved our stay there and you will to!

Great fun details in every room..impeccably clean.wonderful beds..invisible hosts who show up to make the best breakfasts..today it was wild blueberry bread pudding steaming in the oven when we headed back from the hot tub, and after we dressed and packed, it was on a cake turrine waiting for us! Love this place.
