Since 1989 it has served as an intimate bed & breakfast for bird watchers and nature lovers visiting the Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge. Displays of Southwestern Indian and Mexican art, original photography, framed historic documents and antiques highlight the inn. Accommodations in the Crane Room are light and airy. The larger Heron Room boasts a whirlpool tub. The Egret Room holds a double and twin bed.
