Roses & The River

This Texas farmhouse rests beside the banks of the San Bernard River. There is a sweeping veranda lined with rockers, and the two-acre grounds are well landscaped with an impressive rose garden. Each of the three guest rooms has been decorated with a rose theme. Rooms are named New Dawn, Rainbow's End and Rise 'n Shine. Two rooms view the river and one views the rose gardens. Breakfasts include unique treats such as a "blushing orange cooler," baked Alaska grapefruit, homemade sweet rolls and savory egg dishes. The area offers many attractions, including two wildlife refuges, Sea Center Texas, where guests can learn about marine life, the Center for the Arts and Sciences and several historical sites.
