My wife, Deanna, and I had an AMAZING stay. We are recently married (on 11/11/11) and we weren't sure about having a honeymoon. I bought tickets for a Packers game at Lambeau for her birthday. We used our GPS to find The Roost. When she made the reservation she didn't tell me we would be staying at a B&B. I was confused while driving here; what a strange place for a hotel, in a residential neighborhood. I was STUNNED. Tom and Aimee are very friendly and pleasant. Tom suggested local fare in Appleton. Deanna and I chose to eat at Carmella's Italian Bistro. The food deserves several Michelin stars. The Hunt Suite and all the other rooms are very well kept and provided the ultimate romantic pseudo-honeymoon for my beautiful wife and I. I plan to recommend The Roost to friends and family when they are in the area. Post Scriptum: The cookies and breakfast were out of this world.

I went to the Roost for a girls weekend in February and had an amazing stay. Tom and Aimee are lovely people, extremely gracious and friendly hosts. The rooms have a Tuscan flair, are spacious, immaculate and well appointed with super comfortable beds and luxurious linens. Every room has a fireplace and huge spa tubs with walk-in showers. Plus there's a common area for gathering with another fireplace. I stayed in the Sage Suite and adored the four poster bed with the stairs leading up to it :D Tom is an excellent cook and uses organic and locally sourced ingredients which I truly appreciate. The ham and egg braid was incredible. Looking forward to a return visit with my husband for a romantic getaway this summer. The gardens will be an additional delight I'm sure. They have a lovely gazebo which is winterized. It was a warm spot to gather with everyone on a cold but sunny Feb. day. It's hard to believe that Aimee and Tom are relatively new to B&B ownership. They are such naturals and really make their guests feel so special and welcome—extremely accommodating. They get it. It's all about service and attention to details. Highly recommend the Roost B&B.

We just stayed in the Tapestry Room of The Roost B&B. I have to be honest, I was a little nervous, booking a bed and breakfast. I LIKE the anonymity of a hotel. But man, this experience was second to none. All five of the rooms are beautiful. I like The Roost because it's more of a Tuscan/French Cottage style vs. a big, stuffy Victorian, which suits our tastes much better. The room was perfect, perfectly clean, complete with a two-person whirlpool tub right in the room. The bed was awesome ... my husband can't stop talking about it. I am really picky about food and the hosts accommodated my tastes. They also used local & organic goods, something I really appreciate. Bottom line, we will stay there again. You should, too. You will not regret it, I can promise you. I know I sound like a paid advertiser, but I am not. I was just so impressed. Forget the big, cold, chain hotel and support your local business.
