Description
Circa 1869. Escape to a relaxing oasis along the Ohio River. Luxurious guest rooms have crown molding, soft carpeting or elegant hardwood floors, and are decorated in soothing neutral tones. None of the guest rooms share walls providing the ultimate in quiet and privacy. A breakfast buffet is served each morning and local vineyards are featured during afternoon wine and cheese hours. Grab a book from the library and sit on the screened gazebo with a view of the river. Or inside, tickle the ivories on the baby grand piano in the music parlor or try your luck at a game in the billiards room; both rooms have a romantic fireplace for chilly evenings. You can also explore the area on a complimentary bicycle or play a rousing game of croquet on the manicured lawn. Halfway between Louisville, Kentucky and Cincinnati, Ohio, this bed and breakfast is near wineries and the Kentucky Speedway. If you bring a group ask about the discount for booking three or more rooms.

Cancellation Policy for the Inn Making a reservation at a bed and breakfast is not the same as making a hotel reservation. Due to our small size, cancellations affect us significantly. A last minute cancellation gives us little chance of re-booking a room. For this reason we uphold a strict cancellation policy: Guests are responsible for payment of all nights reserved regardless of their actual arrival or departure date. No-shows are also responsible for full payment of their entire reservation. Cancellation of (including changes to) a confirmed reservation must be made 14 or more days prior to your scheduled arrival to receive a refund. All cancellations are subject to a $30.00 administrative processing fee per room, per night. Cancellation of (including changes to) a confirmed reservation made 13 days or less prior to your scheduled arrival will only receive a refund if we can re-book the room to other guests, minus a $30.00 administrative processing fee per room, per night. There are no exceptions to this policy including sickness, family emergencies, or weather related issues. Naturally, we will make every effort to re-rent the room and return your deposit. 30 Days Notice of Cancellation is Required for These Circumstances: A group booking of three or more rooms. Major holiday reservations including the Valentine's Day holiday period, Good Friday through Easter Sunday, the July 4th holiday period, Labor Day weekend, Thanksgiving Eve thru the Saturday following Thanksgiving, and December 23rd through January 2nd. Weekends of Kentucky Speedway events Payment for rooms during these events are due in full 30 days prior to event dates. |

The Foerderers
Riverside is a beautiful Inn. The grounds feature many areas for relaxation, gatherings and wildlife viewing. You can enjoy your first class breakfast while gazing out onto the Ohio river or watching gold finches and wrens at the feeders. The Inn Keepers are gracious hosts and stewards of the historic home.
The Inn has been completely restored and the guest rooms are luxurious and comfortable. We will definitely return! A true gem! We have stayed at several B & B's and this is our favorite.

A little slice of heaven!!!
We had the most amazing time at the Riverside B & B! The food was wonderful, we have never met nicer inn keepers than Kurt and Kathy!! Our favorite parts include the beautiful huge gazebo with all the kitchen amenities, our huge bathroom in our bedroom, and the firepit for roasting marshmallows. I had a hurt knee and the inn keepers accommodated us and switched our room to a downstairs one. We felt so at home and had a wonderful time getting to know the other guests and playing billiards in the billiards room!!! Do try the fried chicken at the local, IGA, it's amazing!!! The view cannot be beat from the back porch overlooking the river! Mature trees line the property and are all labeled so that you can appreciate how many different species are on the property!! We would stay here over and over again!!!

Romantic Derby visit
The Riverside Inn Bed & Breakfast has excellent accommodations, gracious hosts, gourmet breakfasts, incredible views, and a peaceful quality that cannot be matched. As first-time Derby attendees, Kurt and Kathy provided an excellent introduction to life in Kentucky. We will be back again.

Wow! Southern charm
Wow we were swept away with southern hospitality. The inn keepers were awesome from the first hello. We felt like we were staying with family! Chef Kurt wowed us with delightful breakfasts. We have stayed at B & B across the US and Riverside Inn was the best by far! A must see Inn!!

Riverside Inn
I have yet to have the opportunity to visit Kathy and Kurt Doerflinger at the Riverside Inn but it is on my list of desires. What I do know is, Kathy and Kurt pour their heart and souls into all endeavors, striving for excellence. Lifelong friends are made wherever the Doerflingers go!

Best Bed and Breakfast EVER!!!
We highly recommend Riverside Inn. Kurt and Kathy, the Innkeepers are amazing. The amount of attention given to even the smallest detail is nothing short of unbelievable. From decorations, décor, extraordinary hospitality, breakfast (preparation and presentation), rooms, views (every room has a wonderful view). We have never seen a place kept so impeccably clean and well maintained. We have stayed in many B&Bs over the years but Kathy & Kurt provided a level of hospitality and comfort we have never experienced before. It was great and you were full over the whole week-end. We don't know how you do it. Thank You for a perfect vacation. We will be back and so will many of our friends.

We have stayed at Riverside Inn for a business retreat and a family gathering and the setting is lovely, service is outstanding and the rooms are beautiful--full of southern charm.

Perfect Romantic Getaway
Just pulling up to the estate, one gets a sense that they are entering a special and rare retreat of a by-gone era. The Inn is GORGEOUS inside and out. Being located alongside the Ohio River, there is a relaxing energy similar to what one experiences at the ocean. A calm tranquility takes over your body. Indoors, the Inn is lavish and posh while maintaining its history and elegance. The rooms are exquisitely decorated, romantic, quiet and cozy. The innkeepers are a delight-friendly, accommodating and magnificent cooks (They even cooked a gluten free meal for me!). We are so glad we found this place and will return as often as possible. Thank you, Riverside Inn & Kurt and Kathy, for such an unforgettably refreshing and relaxing weekend.
