Circa 1889. This renovated Victorian mansion was designed for the Pearson family by James G. Hill, architect of the U.S. Treasury buildings. The elegant estate features a grand entry hall, ballroom, library and 10 master fireplaces with Neoclassical mantels. Guests may choose from accommodations in the luxurious mansion, charming cottages on a croquet court, or the garden rooms amid a striking landscape and facing a waterfall. Gabrielle's Restaurant, which is on the premises, serves gourmet cuisine each evening. The inn is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
