Rice Hope Plantation Inn Bed & Breakfast

My husband and I were married at Rice Hope on June 16, 2006. It was a wonderful experience. Our family rented the entire house for the weekend. So we were able the have the rehersal dinner, wedding, and reception in one location. The owners are very kind and made us feel right at home. I am planning a future getaway for my husband(going 6 yrs.) and myself to come back and visit.

We just happen to find this Inn while we were in S.C. visiting friends. The caretaker was wonderful and took us on a tour. I would Love to plan a stay here But it really needs some upkeep. It is such a beautiful place to be so rundown.

LOVED this spot. AMAZING ambiance, solitude, views and service. The proprietor was attentive friendly, witty and knowledgable. The house is amazing and though it does need some TLC to fix up some things (screens need replacing on the upper floor porch and the downstairs seems pretty cluttered in certain rooms) the overall stay was fantastic. We were visiting the monastery next door and the proximity of this spot was PERFECT.

My husband and I have stayed here on several occasions. Each time memorable and relaxing. The 2 young people running it at the time were easy going and made us feel at ease like we were all the best of friends. I've always been delighted to roam the property and enjoy the river and florals. the inn is set in a cozy country setting making one feel that much more away from it all, whatever that 'all' may be! thanks always Jamie and Katie.
