Relais du Soleil

Relais du Soleil

1210 Nuns Canyon Rd.
Glen Ellen, CA 95442
United States of America

(707) 833-6264

Circa 1914. Open year-round, Relais du Soleil means a place to rest in the sun, and this guest ranch on 120 park-like acres in Glen Ellen, California perfectly reflects its French name. Enjoy the casual ambiance and gorgeous scenery in Nuns Canyon at the foot of Mayacamas mountain range. Shade trees accent the deck next to Calabazas Creek. Play horseshoes, darts, croquet or petangue. Sit and stargaze or birdwatch. Stay in an upstairs guest bedroom in the main house or the three-room cottage called the Bunkhouse Suite. Feel welcomed by fresh flowers and a glass of champagne upon arrival. A full ranch breakfast is served on the patio or in the dining room. Take a wine-tasting tour of the nearby Sonoma Valley vineyards.

PERFECT place...

Relais du Soleil

foe a wedding, getaway, party, anniversary... whatever! Relais is so homey and welcoming, I have never once regretted the choice to hold my wedding there--despite a few lost guests due to the out-of-the way location. It wouldn't feel the same if it weren't tucked back in the hills the way it is, so don't let that stop you... Just provide GOOD maps if you're holding an event here!! Tim is so hospitable, a great breakfast cook, and so fun to go and visit now and again on anniversaries or weekends away. This place has a 'feeling' about it unlike any other... I dare you to be stressed out while staying here! As a bonus, it's truly affordable, for the area. Go, drink Tim's fabulous wine, and be merry!
