Stuffed French Toast

Description:
All time hit, covered with fresh fruit, brandy apples or carmelized bananas.

Ingredients:
1 loaf Italian bread crust removed
1-2 packages cream cheese
2-5 T brown sugar depending on your taste
1 t vanilla
1-2 T orange zest

one egg plus equal parts 1/2&1/2 per piece
1 t sugat
2 drops vanilla

Directions:
slice bread into 1 1/2 inch slices
cut these almost in half leaving a hinge
beat cream cheese, vanilla,orange zest and brown sugar untill mixed
spread about one T or a bit more inside the bread-close to form a filled pocket
place in freezer bags and freeze untill ready to use.
when ready to use mix egg, cream, brown sugar and vanilla in large bowl
add stuffed bread and soak for at least 1 hour
brown in butter on one side,flip,cover with foil an bake at 350 for 20-30 minutes
Top with fresh fruit or topping of your choice.
we use strawberries,mango,kiwi,blueberries...
