Hot Scottish/irish Porridge

Description:
A healthy warm start to a winters day. Better than pancakes and the so called French toast - which you never ever get in France!

Ingredients:
Porridge Oats, salt, water, milk and maple syrup

Directions:
1 x mug of Scottish/Irish porridge oats - Old Fashioned oats NOT quick cook!
4 x mug of water - which should be boiling in a pan.
Pinch of salt
Generous dash of full cream milk

Place oats into boiling water, and turn heat down to a simmer. Stir slowly until the mixture starts to "gurgle" and then add the milk and salt. Continue to stir and allow the mixture to become "gloopy" adding more water if it beccomes too solid.
After about 30 minutes serve into a warm bowl and add a dash of Vermont maple syrup to taste.

Eat and get a warm glow!
