Cranberry Coffee Cake

Description:
Moist and delicious with an exotic almond fragrance.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
8 ounces sour cream
1 teaspoon almond
1 teaspoon vanilla
16-ounce can whole-berry cranberry sauce
1/2 cup chopped pecans

GLAZE

3/4 cup powdered sugar
1/2 teaspoon almond
1 tablespoon warm water
dash salt

Directions:
Cream butter, gradually add sugar, beat till light & fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Combine dry ingredients, add creamed mixture alternately with sour cream, beating well after each addition. Add extracts and mix well.
Spoon 1/2 mixture into a greased and floured 10” tube pan. Spread 1/2 cranberry sauce over batter. Repeat. Sprinkle pecans over.
Bake 350 degrees for one hour. Let cool 5 minutes before removing from pan.
Drizzle glaze over.
