Delightful and Restful

I experienced sincere enjoyment recently while visiting the F. Scott Fitzgerald Room. All facets of my stay were perfect. The personnel was very efficient. My room was meticulously decorated and clean. The meals were a culinary delight. It provided my wife and myself with such a delightful rest.

Elegantly Impressive

My wife and I had the distinct pleasure of spending last Sunday night in the Theodore Roosevelt room at the Richmond Hill Inn. As a consequence of that experience I am moved to tell you how grateful we are that the owners had the foresight and courage to rescue this wonderful place. The building and grounds are elegantly impressive, the accommodations comfortable as well as comforting. However, the most lasting impression of Richmond Hill has been created by the superb staff that has been assembled and trained. It requires dedicated effort from every one to create a total experience that satisfies and fulfills. In this case, complete success. We look forward to a return visit soon.

Incredible Staff

My wife and I recently spent our fourth weekend at the Richmond Hill Inn. Rarely will I take the time to write about a good or bad experience, but the inn is so special to us that I felt the need to let you know how much it means to us. Each time we cross the French Broad on the way to Richmond Hill Drive, we feel as though we are going home. Each trip to the inn has been special but particularly memorable was one we shared with my mother and father. The inn has a really intimate feeling. All of the staff, including housekeeping ersonnel, are extremely friendly and courteous and seem to enjoy being a part of Richmond Hill. They are one reason we feel so at home while visiting. Several of them have been extremely gracious and have always added to the welcoming feeling we get on our visits. Dinner was fine dining at its best, as always. Our compliments to all the staff. My wife and I are already looking forward to our next trip to Richmond Hill and hope to make our visits more frequent. We would like to bring our family for Thanksgiving and are on a waiting list for the needed accommodations.

Considerate and Pleasant Staff

We were very impressed with the Inn, especially the excellent service and attention to detail- umbrella in the cottage rooms, night lights, refreshments available- just extremely through and considerate. All of the staff were pleasant, efficient, helpful, particularly at the desk. Breakfast was a treat and well-prepared. The pianist was super- so glad we bought his tape! We expect to return soon!

Truly Special

I have traveled to a lot of places in the U.S. and Europe and I have stayed in a lot of wonderful places. But the Richmond Inn was truly special! The staff, service and accommodations are superb. 5 stars! And so is the cuisine. Thank you for making my N.C. trip so memorable. I hope i have the chance to stay with you again soon!

Throughly First Class

My wife and I and our two month old son, Patrick, just recently returned from a two-night stay at the Richmond Hill Inn. Our experience was thoroughly first class. We were treated with the utmost respect from the management to the groundskeepers to the wait staff at Gabrielle's. Your attention to detail and the genuineness of your staff certainly sets you apart. We will surely try to steer business your way. Thanks to all for a wonderful stay at Richmond Hill.

The Country's Most Romantic Inn

In recent years, with our children grown, we have been able to travel more frequently. Whenever possible, we prefer to stay at Country Inns & B&B's for the warmth and hospitality we have experienced all across the U.S. We have had the pleasure of lodging in Southern Plantation homes, Grand Victorian mansions and even a Castle...but little did we realize that the "Crown Jewel" of Inns was right here in our own state! Last year, one of our customers suggested we dine at the Richmond Hill Inn as a special celebration for our 23rd anniversary...and "special" it was. The entire evening was quite magical with the romantic atmosphere, soft piano music and superb dining. We returned again for another celebration dinner with friends and decided we "must" stay at the Inn for our next anniversary! This past weekend was the most romantic anniversary ever as we savored the elegance of Richmond Hill. From the moment we arrived, we were pampered with genuine hospitality and the most unique amenities. It was an unforgettable experience and will definitely be an anniversary 'tradition' for us. Thank you for sharing in the joy of our anniversary and allowing us to discover the country's most excellent Inn.
