Circa 1898. Ocean Point Inn is comprised of a white clapboard main house, lodge, cottages, apartments and motel units located on three oceanfront acres. There are gardens and a lovely road along the bay where guests watch lobstermen, seals and passing windjammers. Four lighthouses may be viewed among the nearby islands. Boothbay Harbor is six miles away, but right at hand is the community pier and the inn's restaurant with a view of the ocean. In addition to lobster dishes and crab cakes, the specialty of the house is fresh Maine salmon. Select from a wide choice of activities such as swimming, fishing and hiking, or simply settle into the Adirondack chairs and watch the soothing sea. Guests can rent motor boats or kayaks in Boothbay Harbor.
