The Delft Suite

Authentic decorations make the Dutch heritage in this room come to life! Many of the Dutch items used to decorate this suite are family heirlooms. The items belonged to Maurice’s Dutch/Indonesian father. Among the things you will find are Delft porcelain figurines, a child’s Dutch reader, a mounted Dutch hankie and other accents. Substantial pine furniture is sturdy and practical and, at the same time, beautiful. Blue and white porcelain reflects the colored teacup border wallpaper. The bathroom boasts a clawfoot tub with a shower and a pedestal sink. Colors of blue, yellow and white dominate this room. The ambiance is free, fresh and simple – as the suite catches the sun streaming through a window at the front of the Manor House.

The St Andrews Suite

Queen bed and Whirlpool tub Named after the royal and ancient golf course in Scotland, this suite gives golfers and non-golfers alike that “hole-in-one” feeling. Before or after you hit the links, this suite located in the Manor House is the perfect place to unwind. Everyone will enjoy its atmosphere but, frankly, it’s designed to be a man’s room. Antique golf clubs and the plaid Scottish color scheme provide an ambiance of early morning fairways and long, rolling putts to a satisfying “clunk”. Just can’t get enough of the game? This room even has a ball-return putting chest so you can practice to your heart’s content. Even the wallpaper features golfing icons. The color blend mixes navy, burgundy, green and white. Breakfast served on the private balcony overlooking the courtyard is a wonderful way to start your day.

The Manor Suite

King bed This English theme room is the suite that ties the inside of the Manor House to the outside. The English Manor Suite is where guests will find a bit of Britain. Inspired by the appearance and feel of English Tudor mansions, this suite features a king-size bed with a Chippendale headboard, an English tea service, a classic fireplace with a carved mahogany mantle, an antique mahogany dresser with a sink, a twin-size sleeper sofa and a private balcony. Guests tell us we have “the most comfortable beds in the world”. We don’t like to brag, but we don’t argue with the guests either! The color scheme in the Manor Suite combines pink, green and white accents into the perfect and proper British ambiance.

“At the top of the hill”

This is an outstanding property with unique and elegant interior themes, the pride of the owners. The great room with pool table, dart board, fireplace, bar and other features provide hours of enjoyment for a family. Maurice and Rise spent hours in conversation over glasses of wine and hors d’oeuvres. Breakfasts are well conceived and it is nice to see them sharing the serving! The long distance from Southern California makes a third return visit more difficult but it is worth a stop going north.
