Nice is on Clear Lake; a national treasure. Clear Lake is the largest fresh water natural lake in California, with 63 miles of surface area, more than 100 miles of shoreline. Lakes have existed at this site for approximately 2.5 million years, making it possibly the oldest lake in all of North America.
