New England at its best!

We recently celebrated a birthday with a stay at Jacob Hill Inn. Wow! We were treated to a truly wonderful, top-notch B&B experience! The grounds are classic New England, lovely and peaceful - perfect for a stroll or read a book (have a picnic) under a huge, shaded tree. It’s a great place to walk, jog or bike along the long, quiet country roads. Our suite was located in the beautifully renovated huge “White Barn”. Both the room and barn are uniquely furnished, spotless, inviting and each with an unusual tale of its own (ask Bill). The owners, Bill and El, are fabulous hosts – so gracious and are great, interesting conversationalists. They love what they do and it shows. Be assured that everything you read and view on their website is what you get and MORE… a warm, hearty welcome, help with your luggage, a glass of whatever beverage suits you, a fascinating tour of the inn, your own personal cheese tray, delicious cookies nestled in a mason jar, a full selection of fine toiletries, Godivas and soft lights greet you as you return to your room in the evening, a luscious, home-cooked breakfast in the morning, and a departing “gift bag”. And to make you really feel at home: a refrigerator filled with chilled soft drinks and a coffee brewer with a wonderful selection of coffee, teas and cocoa (divine) are there for you to use whenever the mood hits you. It’s the perfect home base for daytrips to Boston, Newport, Cape Cod; Providence is a stone’s throw away. As true locals, Bill and El will share with you the “hidden gems” for dining, entertainment and activities. We have stayed at B&Bs abroad and in the US and this is one of the best. Don’t hesitate, call Bill and El now and enjoy. Happy travels.
