Spa day anyone?

I stayed here with my sister in December on our annual sister's getaway. The house was beautifully decorated for the upcoming holiday. Mike and Lori were friendly. We had a spa day complete with facials, pedicures, and full body massages. The fireplace in our room kept us toasty warm. The only disappointment was breakfast- basically prepared food reheated. The cookie jar was always full though which was great for an evening snack.

Like visiting family

As a first timer B&B I wasn't sure what to expect. Mike & Lori made me feel like visiting brother and sister only NICER! I loved every minute of it and will come back again ASAP.

Bed and Breakfasts for Veterans

Mike and Lori and their furry co-host Ozzy were excellent hosts! Very informative about the history of the home. The tour by Mike and the stories he told about the namesake were very entertaining and exciting. These two are fun, warm and very welcoming. Like they were welcoming in long time friends or family! We were there for the B & B for Veterans and were graciously treated to a one nights stay and breakfast in the morning. Were received a lovely furnished room with jacuzzi tub and gas fireplace. The room was very clean and spacious. We were in Clara's room which was secluded and very quiet. The veterans gathered together in a meet and greet and we met very nice people that had served our great country. The men chatted about their time in the military and we heard great stories! The following morning we were given a lavish breakfast of wonderfully fluffy and tender home made waffles, fresh fruit, coffee, orange juice, toast, eggs, home made jam, and bacon. We ordered what we wanted and if we were hungry after (which we were NOT!) we could order more. We listened to more stories and the comradery continued. We later walked to a local park for a Veteran's Day observance and once again gathered together to honor our past and present veterans. It was a wonderful stay! We were so honored to be able to participate in this wonderful event and the Munro House was a great place to be able to do so.

R & R in southern Michigan

Munro House was a great choice for a little post-winter r&r. Sweet owners, concerned guests' comfort and enjoyment. The house is lovely (very old and historical)...breakfast was great. Best waffles I've ever had! It was a very relaxing retreat....and the massage and facial were top of the line! Unlike some b&b's I've visited, the atmosphere was very casual...like visiting a friend.

A clean, friendly, well-lit place

Wonderful, clean, bright, welcoming place to stay in the Jonesville/Hillsdale area. Mike and his wife are warm and friendly hosts; you can tell they love what they do! The history behind the house, and each of the rooms is fascinating and adds depth to the experience of staying at a bed and breakfast. Vanilla waffles are a must-try if offered!

A Wonderful Place To Stay

We stayed in George's Room. It has a fireplace and hot tub that are very enjoyable. Most of the restaurants are just a block away and are well within walking distance. Everybody was very nice and pleasant to speak with and be around. They encourage you to not stay in your room the whole time and to be comfortable around the whole house. We both got a massage from Julie who is an amazing massage therapist, we both highly recommend adding that to your package. The bed was comfy, the breakfasts were very nice, the town is small but fun, and they treat you like friends. It was a great short vacation getaway.

A Treasure in a small town

We recently had a reunion to attend in the area and I researched possible places to stay and found the Munro House in Jonesville. What a treasure! We stayed 2 nights and were thoroughly impressed. Mike and Lori were great at what they offer and do and the home is magnificent! So many things to see in the home, but unfortunately, we were out more than we were in. Maybe our next opportunity...
