About Our Rooms
The Walnut Room
The Walnut Room is our favorite. It has a king sized bed, fireplace, a private bathroom with a one person whirlpool bathtub, and a small lookout balcony. We love waking up in the morning and opening the French doors overlooking the incredible black walnut tree and Southern Magnolia for which the Inn is named.
The Buckeye Room
The Buckeye Room has a king sized bed, private bathroom with a two person whirlpool bathtub with a window looking out to the mountains, gas fireplace, and a big private balcony. You can also see the boxwood maze from the balcony and giant yellow buckeye tree from the window. The Buckeye room balcony overlooks the valley and the mountains.
The Rose Room
The Rose Room is a romantic room with a queen sized Victorian bed, yellow wallpaper, a private bathroom with a two person whirlpool bathtub with a window overlooking the mountains, fireplace, and a private balcony.
The Sycamore Room
The Sycamore Room is a small cozy room with a queen sized bed, fireplace, and a private bathroom. You can see the Sycamore tree and the row of white pines bordering the garden from the window.
Magnolia Room
The Magnolia room is a bright cheerful room and our only downstairs bedroom. It has a queen-sized bed, private bathroom, private entrance to a garden patio (shown below). and a view of the inn's namesake, the giant old Southern magnolia tree with its heaven scented blossoms. This room is handicap accessible.
Miss Peggy's Suite
Miss Peggy's suite, named for Colonel Rumbough's granddaughter, has character with it's 11-ft ceilings and old brick chimney which today is for a gas operated pot bellied stove. The living room is spacious and comfortable with a sofa, barrel chair, and bellows coffee table. We price the suite for one couple and charge extra for the use of the second bedroom for larger parties. Both bedrooms have king size beds which can also be made into twins. There is a private bath with a one person jacuzzi tub. The suite has a private entrance through a sitting porch and also french doors leading to a garden patio.
The Garden House
The Garden House is adjacent to the Mountain Magnolia Inn, just a short walk down the garden path. It is ideal for families, 2-3 couples and small retreats as it has three bedrooms, two baths (one with a 2 person Jacuzzi tub)and a fully equipped kitchen and a great room with vaulted ceiling. With futons it can sleep up to ten people.
Bird's Nest Suite at Fowler's Bend
Bird's Nest and Cliffside (overlooking Spring Creek) are almost identical - both charming with a great view and sound of the creek. Bird's Nest has a very comfortable, fully equipped kitchen and dining area with a gas fireplace and big picture windows overlooking Spring Creek. The den has a futon, charming primitive antiques and opens to the deck. We price the suite for couples and charge extra for the use of the 2nd bedroom and futon (one has a gas fireplace). Each bedroom has a private bath, one with a shower and one with a claw foot tub. While great for a couple, when you use the futons it can accomodate up to 6 people.
Cliffside Suite at Fowler's Bend
The views and sound of the creek are incredible at Cliffside at Fowler's Bend. With it's gas fireplaces and cozy sofas, the suite is very comfortable and attractive. We price the suite for a couple and charge extra for the use of the extra bedroom and foutons. Using the foutons, it can sleep 6. For extended stays, there is a fully equipped kitchen and dining area with a fireplace and big picture windows overlooking Spring Creek. The den has a futon, charming primitive antiques and opens to the deck and patio. Each bedroom has a private bath, one with a shower and one with a claw foot tub.
The HIdeaway at Fowler's Bend
The Hideaway is a very small, cozy room located in Fowler's Bend 2 minutes by car from the Inn. It has a queen size bed, private bathroom with a shower, private balcony overlooking the mountains and private entrance. The room includes breakfast at the main Inn and full access to the grounds and the common areas.
