Most romantic stay in Cape May

A last minute getaway turned out to be one of the most memorable, romantic interludes for my husband and me when we stayed at the Queen Victoria last Memorial Day weekend. Newcomers to B&B's, we were feeling lucky to find one room still available, and it was lovely to arrive a bit early, and receive a warm welcome, a tour, use of comfortable "Jersey Cruiser" bikes and a reminder to meet for tea. We had a walk on the beach, retd. to our spacious, lovely appointed room, and dressed for tea. There we were so replenished with delicious fare, that we chose to work off what we'd consumed with a long bike ride. We rode to the Washington Inn, which was recommended by other guests of the Inn while at tea, and we made a late reservation. Upon our return to our room, we relaxed with wine, showered, and had a wonderful walk through the historic district to dinner. Later, we sat on the balcony off our room, and enjoyed the evening breeze. Everything was so convenient, movies, books, robes, and hot/cold drinks for our use. We slept in luxurious comfort, awoke to a wonderful breakfast on the porch, and when I commented on the tasty egg casserole, our server produced a recipe copy to take home. Can't wait to go back again!
