Circa 1890. This Victorian farmhouse is situated on a four-acre compound and also features six mountainside cottages located in the woods surrounding the inn. Four spacious guest rooms in the main house have private baths and fireplaces. All are decorated in country antiques with hand-crafted accessories, quilts and green plants. Two cottages boast antique beds and Jacuzzi tubs. The lofted bedroom cottages can comfortably sleep more than two people, offering full baths, living rooms and eat-in kitchens. Peaceful and quiet. Love winters in front of the cabin fireplace with wife and pets. Private. Everything you need at your fingertips. Beautiful mountains. Nearby horseback riding. Centrally located for winery tours. The food is wonderful.Peg is very accomodating and is more of a friend than an innkeeper. Have spent many nights there and will spend many more.

What a terrific getaway! We've stayed here many times over the years and think of Misty Mountain Inn as our home away from home. Peg is very accommodating to bikers even giving up her covered parking space so that we can park our bike out of the rain. The cabins are nicely furnished with comfy quilts, antiques and rockers on the porches. Her breakfasts, especially the sausage and egg casserole, are to die for.

We have stayed at Misty Mountain for years, in the spatious Victorian inn and in the woodsy, fireplaced cottages. The gardens and birds are a joy to the eyes and ears. Misty Mountain in minutes from lush paths by rushing streams, mountains to climb and cute towns to explore. The welcome is warm, the breakfast and coffee are yummy, the rooms are spotless and comfy and, if you stay in a cabin, your pets will enjoy it as much as you do.

I have visited Misty Mountain for years, and it's the best inn I've ever visited for its cleanliness, ambiance, comfort of accommodations (all the rooms are large with private bathrooms and gas fireplaces), and quiet (except for bullfrogs in the pond during mating season!). Innkeeper Peg is a charming and gracious hostess.

We have visited Misty Mountain many times and have become friends with the owner and many of the guests. If we feel like being pampered we stay at the Inn, if we want privacy or bring our dog, we stay in one of the cottages. Beautiful locations, super breakfasts.

If you are looking for a vacation spot for you and your dog this is it. Great accomodations (cabins) and many fun things to do. If you are looking for a trip back in time try the main house with beautiful period furniture and breakfast prepared by Peg, the innkeeper. Peg is the best as is her Inn. Would highly recommend for pet lovers and those looking for a great getway with or without you pets

I have been going to Misty Mt. Inn & Cottages for many years. I stay in one of the cottages so I can bring my dogs. There is plenty of running room for them. The grounds are kept meticulously, with a stream and pond, several varieties of trees. Peg keeps a lovley garden. The cottages are comfortable and inviting. Every detail has been attended. Nearby are many mountain hiking trails, of varying grades, many with refreshing water falls. Peg is very gracious, and has plenty of information about activities, and dining.
