“Our Foreign Friends”
Barbara T3/1/2012
Thanks for your care and useful tips. It was very easy to become familiar with the area. I discovered a lot of places in my two week stay which I would surely not have seen like Fort Ross, ferry across the bay to San Francisco, Dutcher Creek Winery etc).

“Comfortable, cozy and delicious!”

We stayed at the Melitta Station Inn for three nights and had a terrific time. The hosts were warm and gracious, the rooms clean and comfortable, and the breakfasts were sumptuous! The warm welcome provided by the hosts, Jackie & Tim, was just what these weary travelers needed! We tasted some amazing wines at the local wineries! We can't wait to return.

InnSide Tip - Winery Recommendation
Try Wilson's Winery...it has a modest, unassuming facade facing the road, but the view from the tasting room is gorgeous...and their zinfandels are the best we've ever had!!

“Exceptional value”
Heidi C7/4/2010
This very cute B&B, has terrific owners, helpful and the Owner-Chef makes unusual deliscious breakfasts. Our local Santa Rosa Family recommended this and we traveled from the East coast to visit... we will be back.

“Romantic get away in the heart of w”
Dale WaldoOrlando, FL

My husband and I stayed with Jackie and
Tim August 2009. It is a home away from home. This was our second stay at Melitta Inn. The first time was Oct. 2007. We stayed in one of the wonderful rooms on the first floor. This time we stayed in the Creekside Suite. If you are looking for romance that is ideal. Comfy king size bed, big bathroom, a sitting area, and a kitchenette. The room is downstairs and accessble from the back at ground level. Outside the French doors there is a sitting area in a garden setting. Lavender and rosemary and roses blooming on the trellis. You feel like you are in your own world. The hot tub is just outside the door so you can sneak away and massage your cares away in the spa.
My only complaint would be the breakfasts. They were so good and filling, a different experience every morning. But they were so filling and satisfying that we were never hungry for lunch until late in the day. Jackie is a magnifient cook.
We chose Melitta Inn for the hospitality but also for the location. It is in the heart of wine country, both Sonoma and Napa. Santa Rosa is a beautiful little city and close to everything, the coast, the redwoods, parks and of course the many wineries. After a day of sipping wines it was nice to come "home" to Melitta Inn and open a bottle of our favorite wine and snack on cheese and crackers in our little kitchen. Plus Jackie always has some little sweet in the evening, a cake, torte or cookies to finish off a beautiful day.
Jackie is very accomidating as to the breakfast. She checks to make sure of any dietary needs or just plain likes and dislikes. The food is as much as possible organic and local. That is very possible in that area of California as there is a lot of excellent locally grown food. The Inn is also very environmentally friendly. Tim and Jackie also have the hospitally down to a art. They are very helpful in making recommendations but also know enough to give their guests their privacy. It is quiet and charming and my only complaint is that we had to leave and go home at the end of our stay.

“A Joyous Extended Family Event”
DoMa H7/28/2009
A Joyous Extended Family Event
Conversation skittered around the Great Room as our group of 7 was showered with Tim and Jackie's hospitality. From food that was fit for the gods to beds of enormous comfort, I simply felt "cared for." My room was closest to the gathering area, yet remained blissfully quiet when I retreated. Tim and Jackie's charming warmth and delightful humor were simply appreciated to the max. DoMa H.

“Don't miss this one!”
Gwen Hulse7/20/2009
My husband and I recently stayed for the second time, and I'm happy to report that the second visit was as wonderful as the first. Though the rooms may seem a bit small to some, they are more than adequate for 2 people, the beds are extremely comfortable, and the other amenities top notch. As for breakfast, think of every superlative adjective to describe food! We stay in b&b's whenever we can, and Jackie's breakfasts are simply the best we've had. She & Tim are delightful and very helpful innkeepers. Melitta Station is in a very quiet location that is ideal for day-trips for wine tasting, driving the northern Calif. coast or exploring the many state parks.

InnSide Tip - Day Trips
Some of our favorites: A walk amid the giant redwoods in Armstrong Park, lunch at River's End restaurant, where the Russian River meets the Pacific, followed by a walk along the beach, and a drive to Bodega Bay and up to Bodega Head.
