Romantic Interest
The warm and hospitable atmosphere with cozy and tasteful rooms and cabins. Outdoor spots to recreate and retreat to; hammocks and benches and picnic areas, scenic driftboat floats.
Historic Interest
The history of the inn precedes its establishment as a bed & breakfast in 1978, making it the oldest B&B on the river. The pioneers started with a small cabin and expanded to the lodge as it is now. The orchard, full of fruit and nut trees, sustained the family's daily needs as it does for guests today.

“Great wedding venue!”
Jean WatersWe recently held our daughter's wedding at the McKenzie River Inn and it was a perfect venue. We booked it for an overnight mid-week event which gave us plenty of time for a relaxing wedding and celebration. The staff was outstanding and anticipated almost everything we could have wanted. We're starting to get pictures back and every one is absolutely breathtaking. Between the cabins, lodge and camping area, there was plenty of room for everyone who wanted to stay the night. Many of the guests who didn't stay remarked that they would like to come back and stay at the inn for a few days.

“A wonderful place”
Jaap Cové (3 reviews)
Benidoleig,
I loved it so much on my previous visit that I came back to the McKenzie River Inn and stayed again for a couple of days. I'm a regular traveler throughout the Pacific Northwest, and it's simply wonderful to catch my breath at this B&B, on the river, enjoying the fishing, the splendid views, the excellent breakfast, the clean comfortable rooms, and the pleasant service. Being an author, it's also a very good place to get new inspiration.

“Westroom & Breakfast”
Wayne & Sam Daley1/18/2011
Our stay in the West Room was delightful and filled with nostalgia. The Lodge has been preserved to a time which was much simpler and we love it. The room is everything you need, jacuzzi, king size bed an astonishing view on the river and nothing is overdone, no frou-frou. Breakfast is absolutely fantastic and the hospitality from ut of this world.

“WOW!”
Jennifer PrattPine Bluffs, WY

My husband and I stayed here a few weeks ago and cannot wait to go back! The Inn is set in a beautiful location next to the McKenzie River and when I walked in I was awestruck at how charming it was. Bert the owner was so nice and helpful that we are already telling everyone we know that this is the place to go. He also offers fishing trips, float trips, and whitewater rafting and with all of his years of experience I'm sure those would be very memorable. In fact, our next stay there will be planned around those activities. One note, please make sure you arrive at the right place as there is a restaurant/motel down the road that we were told was the McKenzie River Inn. After checking into a bare motel room and fighting off wasps, we finally figured out we had the wrong place. A customer coming out of the restaurant/motel when we pulled up told us it was the McKenzie River Inn, when in fact it wasnt. The McKenzie River Inn sits back in some trees and is located in the little town of Nimrod. You will not go wrong if you book a stay at the McKenzie River Inn!

We have visited here eight years running. The atrium suite is one of the
most intimate spots we have stayed. The
purveyors are so welcoming and friendly.
Don't forget your chips and salsa.
Five hearts all the way!

Romantic Getaway - Best Shower in Oregon - McKenzie River Inn
We stayed at the inn to celebrate our 15th wedding anniversary. Loved the West Room with it's fantastic bathroom. Jacuzzi was fabulous and the view of the river from the tub, spectacular. Plus the shower gets our vote for "Best shower in Oregon." Breakfast was fabulous, and the hosts are knowledgeable, very helpful and made our stay so memorable. The hospitality so gracious. Thanks for the special attention to make our week end so fabulous. Couldn't have asked for more! "

“dream away”
Jacob Cove (3 reviews)

If you're looking for a place to get away from it all, this B&B will certainly not disappoint you. It's quiet, spacy and beautifully situated on the river. There are plenty of little hideaways to read a book or dream away, watching the river run by. We stayed there for a weekend, and will certainly be coming back. Our room was tasteful and clean. The owners have an eye for detail when it comes to preserving the history of the place. We went on a fishing trip with Bert, the inn keeper, which was an event to remember.

“What a view”
Tina12/26/2007
I stayed there with my 2 kids and thoroughly enjoyed the view from the West Room. It's got birds that my kids could identify and a tranquil view of the woods on the other side of the river bank. We could BBQ at night after fishing and the kids watched bats. The whirltub was in the room and big enough for us 3 and when the kids fell asleep to the river sounds I went down stairs to the library and a glass of wine...Delightfull!!
