Circa 1906. See much of Maine from Maple Hill Farm Bed & Breakfast Inn and Conference Center in the four-season location of Hallowell, near Augusta. This award-winning, eco-friendly B&B spans 130 acres of wildflower fields, pastures, woods, a pond and more than 800 neighboring acres of public land. Ask for a trail map to hike, walk, run, snowshoe or cross-country ski. Relax on a hammock or chair in the shade of a maple tree or on the front porch. Sit by the fire in the living room, sip a locally brewed beer in the full-service bar and use the well-equipped guest kitchen. This renovated Victorian house boasts guest rooms that may include a double whirlpool tub, fireplace and secluded deck. A custom country breakfast uses fresh eggs from the farm. Maple Hill is a certified environmental leader with comprehensive renewable energy systems and daily green practices.
