Logansport is a city that sits near the junction of the Wabash and Eel Rivers. Just the idea that it is located near two major rivers would certainly explain the origin of its name. Logansport is part of Cass County, Indiana. It is not the rivers that have made the city popular nowadays though but a feature that is found in the Riverside Park. This is the Dentzel Carousel, one of the largest and most beautiful carousels in the country. Aside from its beauty, this has been declared as a national historic landmark also. Its location and the presence of the two rivers have also made Logansport an important transportation hub in the state. For many decades the city served as a major stopover for train routes, including the historic Michigan Road. Another important site is the Mount Hope Cemetery, which is Indiana's third largest.
