Description

Circa 1856. Experience old-world luxury at this nineteenth century Italianate mansion that sits on two acres in the heart of the historic village. Extensively renovated to its original grandeur, exposed cherry and chestnut floors accent the rooms. One of the first-floor guest bedrooms offer handicap access with a private ramped entrance and fully equipped bath. A two-bedroom suite is perfect for families. Room 1 features a marble fireplace, sitting area and porch with wicker rockers. Room 4 boasts a Jacuzzi and Room 3 has an 11-jet shower with a 12-inch rainforest showerhead extending from the ceiling. A bountiful homestyle breakfast is served in one of the two dining areas. Explore the scenic Leatherstocking region.

Cancellation

Reservations require a deposit equal to one night's stay and may be made by telephone or website. Credit card deposits will be processed at the time of the reservation. Final payment may be made by credit card, check, or cash. The Landmark Inn requires fourteen days notice of cancellation to obtain a full refund, less a $25 processing fee. If cancellation is made within less than fourteen days, deposits will be forfeited unless the room(s) can be rebooked. No shows will be charged for full reservation.

Historic Interest

Built in 1856 by Cooperstown's Railroad Commissioner and Bank President, JP Sill. In the late 1800s and early 1900s the Sill family used to host the local orphans on the front lawn for a May Day celebration. Several photos and original furniture pieces have been passed down through owners.
