Lamp Lighter Inn

Our 4th visit to this wonderful property where it's easy to relax and feel welcome. Bobby Richardson has a wonderful staff and we particularly appreciated Inge Dewi's help in making this year's arrangements AND next year's as well. Can't wait to get back! Highly recommended! Jim Delaney

Have stayed here every other year or so and absolutely love the service and location. GM Bobby has retained the same wonderful staff who always make us feel welcome. Inga was particularly great to work with. She does a great job! Can't wait to visit again.

My boyfriend, well now Fiance :) and I stayed at the Lamp Lighter Inn and had an amazing stay! The staff was so warm and welcoming. A short walk to downtown and the beach. We stayed in the Dolphin Room which has a cozy feel and a warm fireplace. It was the perfect bed and breakfast for us to celebrate our engagement!!

We booked the Lamplighter Inn in September for the first 2 nights of our honeymoon in Carmel and absolutely loved it. Great location right in Carmel, very cute spacious room and helpful friendly staff completed the stay. We will be back....hopefully on our 1 year anniversary!

Yes, the Lamp Lighter Inn is perfect for a romantic get-away. But, it is so much more. For two sisters who had not had one-on-one time in too many years, it was a dream come true. Bobby, the owner, had suggested the Concourse Suite for us and it was perfect. It was spacious, charming and very comfortable. Although, we walked to the beach and visited virtually every shop within a 3-block area, we loved just being in our room. We would throw open the french doors, pour a glass of wine and watch the other guests strolling through the courtyard. Some even stepped in to chat with us, that's how inviting our room looked. Bobby and his staff treated us like friends and my Sister and I can hardly wait to visit again. We may even bring our husbands next time. Thank you

My husband and I spent a lovely evening last November in one of the cottages. It was a chilly evening when we arrived and we had a decanter of brandy waiting for us and it was free(of course we left a generous tip). The staff was very accommodating and the bed was extremely comfortable. I highly suggest you spend time at The Lamplighter.

I stayed at this inn a little while ago. I was amazed at how nice the place really is. It's quaint and quiet. There was a fireplace in my room. There was a carafe of Sherry and a comfy terry robe to lounge in. What a great place to get away from it all. They serve a small breakfast to get your day started on a good note. And the beds are so comfortable you don't want to get up. My dog enjoyed a romp on the beach and was made quite welcome here. Try it once. You will look for excuses to travel to Carmel just so you can stay here.

Stayed there and loved it. Went to bed hearing the waves, location is awesome.
