Lakeside Terrace

What a lovely way to forget all of the hustle and bustle of a large city. The serene surroundings, the lake and the caring owner/hostess all make this an absolutely small piece of heaven.

I have stayed at Lakeside Terrace for the last few years and it always feels like 'coming home." Warm, cozy, welcoming, surrounded by trees with the lake right there - what could be better! The rooms are adorable and the owner's caring is heartwarming. I sleep so well there! Room Tip: From what I've seen, all the rooms are lovely.

Peace,quiet and beautiful Lake Garfield....what more could you ask for? The rooms are quaint your owner/hostess Merry is helpful and caring. Whether you swim, kayak or just lay under a tree with a good book, Lakeside Terrace is the place to unwind for a weekend or after sightseeing in the area.

A deep sense of peace comes over me whenever I arrive at Lakeside Terrace. I have stayed there multiple times over the last six years, and always thoroughly enjoy my stay. Lake Garfield is inviting and beautiful - a wonderful lake for swimming, kayaking, and canoeing - or simply relaxing and enjoying the view. The rooms are quaint and lovely. The hostess, Merry, is gracious and helpful, and shares her wealth of knowledge about sight seeing in the area. I have found the location very convenient. A real find.

Lakeside Terrace is a quaint Berkshire inn on a beautiful lake. It's a perfect summer getaway and lovely in the fall when the leaves are at their peak. The location is ideal and there's something for everyone. Spend a quiet day by the lake and take out a boat to explore it's full beauty. For the cultural experience it's very close to Tanglewood, Jacobs Pillow Dance Festival and the historic town of Stockbridge. For those that like a good deal, the Lee shopping outlets are very close as well. Merry, the inn keeper has years of experience in the Berkshires and is a great resource to plan your perfect day. I give this Inn 5 stars and can't wait to visit again.

I am so happy to see that Lakeside Terrace is reviewed on Trip Advisor. Lakeside Terrace is an absolutely idealic get-away. As soon as I pulled into the driveway, I knew that I had found the perfect spot. The smell of the pine trees, the tranquility of the lake,and the crackling fire in the fireplace all brought back delightful memories of my youth spent at summer camp. The rooms are lovely and spacious and exceptionally clean. And the views from every room are breathtaking. Simple, yet delicious, the breakfast served is more than ample. Merry, the owner/hostess is charming and helpful and extremely knowledgeable about all that the Berkshires have to offer. I have stayed at Lakeside Terrace for the past two summers and plan to stay there again as often as possible. I am already making plans for next summer. My only regret is that I didn't know about this heavenly treasure sooner.

I have been spending long weekends at Lakeside Terrace for 20 years. The rooms are comfortable, immaculate and decorated with country charm. Lie on a chaise or hammock on the slopping lawn looking at the clean, blue waters of Lake Garfield and you will feel close to heaven. Bring a book and enjoy. Merry, the owner and hostess, presents a simple spread for breadfast, and I particularly enjoy sitting with my blueberry muffin and coffee in the mornings on the wrap around porch looking at the lake and listening to the wind whistling through the trees and the birds chirping. Evening, sit there and pop of bottle of wine and enjoy again. It is close to all the culture in the Berkshires -- Tanglewood, Jacobs Pillow Dance Festival, the Shakespeare Theater, Stockbridge and many other places of great interest of which Merry is well versed. Do not miss this "heavenly treasure" as one other wrote. I hope to see you this summer!!!! . Room Tip: I love Room # 1 with its twin beds and view.
