WONDERFUL room, WONDERFUL vacation!
My 21 yo son, yo 18 daughter & I visited for 5 days around the July 4th weekend in 2008. The owners are knowledgeable & helpful & know when to & when not to, have a conversation with the guests! The breakfast is at 9 a.m. every day, you may have some sent to your room if you can't make breakfast, but if not you lose out. Each day is a different food items, and everyone gets the same thing, every morning there are PLENTY of scones, (of a different ingredient each day), and the leftovers are left out so that you can munch on them throughout the day, or at least until they are gone. The breakfasts are good & there is plenty of food. If you want something particular, that is on the menu that day, but your table has run out, they will bring more. Each night there is a bon-fire down by the lake, and all guests are invited to go down & make sommores. The youth that help out are helpful, honest & personable. The owner will help you to get a canoe/kayak to ride in the lake, which is just down in front of the Inn. They have a dog & a parrot that makes a song like the phone is ringing, calls the dog & other humorous things. I LOVED staying at this Inn & this is where we WILL stay when we visit the Chautauqua area again!
