This intimate inn was once decorated by House Beautiful and it's a great place to unwind or get to work on a writing project. You could LIVE on the veranda filled with flowers and comfy seating in full view of Lake George. Everything was clean and lots of character.

Circa 1907. This 1906 Dutch Colonial mansion is set on more than six acres and offers wonderful views and a long waterfront on Lake George. The innkeepers restored the turn-of-the-century inn and its four guest rooms. It was a redecorating project by House Beautiful magazine, which featured it on six-pages. The living room is stunning, the decor and furniture arrangement was selected carefully as not to overpower the lake views. There is a veranda lined with wicker for those who wish to relax and enjoy the sight of mountains and the water. A buffet breakfast is presented each morning with items such as souffles, frittatas, granola, cereal, fruit and homemade baked goods.
