“Wonderful”
rebecca szimhardtft mohave, AZ
I have now stayed at the Laguna Riviera for numerous days for the last 3 consecutive years. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about it. The staff is great, the views are great and the prices are better than you will find anywhere in that area for the quality.

InnSide Tip - Always pick a surf view room
Pay the extra money for the surf view. it is well worth it. From watching the early morning surfers, seeing dolphins to the great sunsets, you can't go wrong.

“Dishonesty to loyal guests”
Nancy Ellen HarkinsWayne, PA
My vacation was cancelled because of the weather conitions in Pa. I called on Nov. 3 to cancel my reservation. They the owner said I was an no show and refused to refund all of my deposit. My sign in date was 11//06, so I gave them ample notice. Prior to this I stayed there multiple times since 1995. I am going to have a copy of my phone billl sent to them. They lost a loyal patron.

“Memories”
Helen AllenI stayed at the Laguna Riviera over 40 years ago! It was a treat provided by my mother-in-law. We had such fun shopping for pottery and just enjoying the beach while my husband and father-in-law took my young son fishing. While clearing out my files I ran across the info for the Laguna Riviera and am thinking of coming back for a nostalgia trip -- and maybe getting my daughter to come too.

“Can't beat the view”
K STemecula, CA
We had a family surprise party here for my Mom. We got room 101 for her. It had the best deck to accommodate all us. It was a perfect meeting spot! My only 3 complaints are the toilet paper and towels. They both were sandpaper. The continental breakfast doesn't start until 8. Even 7 would have worked. Yes, I will return, but with my item items.

“Wonderful Stay”
Anne SedlatschekWe recently stayed in Room 409 and loved every part of our visit. We wanted an ocean view and this room delivered. Yes, you can see the rooftop below you, but it's not an issue when you look out at the beautiful blue Pacific Ocean. Our room was very nice and the housekeeping staff did a great job.

“Amazing vacation!”
amanda hallmesa, AZ
We stayed at this resort for the first time this past weekend and to sum it up in one word... AMAZING! The room was just right for our family of 4. The kitchen came in very handy and I loved the public patios. The weather was beautiful and it was so great that we were able to check out beach equipment and toys from the front desk. Location is amazing too. We will definitely stay here again!

“Romantic weekend”
Janet SI was so impressed with this inn! The room was perfect, we didn't have a balcony view of the ocean like I thought, but the window near the bed had a great side view that was just as nice. We could walk out a few steps and hang on the public decks to watch the sunsets. Everything from the service, to the hot tub was amazing! So happy with this weekend.

“The Best Place to Stay in Laguna”
Bonnie HenkeI love the Laguna Riviera!!! I had to travel for several years for work and at least once a year took out time to recoup here. The funny thing was I would run in to people I met at the Riviera from past years. That is one of the signs to me that you are in the right place!

“Great value”
Scott DanielHenderson,
Laguna Riviera is an older resort with real character. The rooms have been updated on the inside so they don't feel old or vintage. The grounds are well kept and the location is fantastic. You can walk to tons of shopping & restaurants. We come and stay every year. It's the best value of any hotel in the area that is right on the beach. I love the decks and sitting areas.

You can't get better value than this. I've stayed here twice a year for 10 years. The chance to watch the sea in February and the girlfriend weekend in October (in the Bungalow) keeps me coming back.

“Romance? Check. Family Fun? Check”
Desiree PowellSanta Monica, CA
1/11/2011
It began with romance and ended up as family fun.
We started out as a couple, in Room 511, with views of the mountains and a partial view of the ocean. Flash forward nine months later and we are planning our next trip to Laguna with our baby boy.
We have been in rooms 304, 516, 406, 301, 518, 201, 104, 404 and so many I can not recall them all.
Being a family, we love room 404 - it has a separate room with a door (important for sleeping toddlers) and a pull out sofa, a private deck, an enclosed lanai, a fireplace, and a FULL kitchen. The swimming pool and the ocean are just steps away, and the center of town is an easy walk.
We have been coming to Laguna Riviera for over 10 years, and our children now love it as much as we do.
The staff is VERY accommodating and friendly. I like the fact that it has that old school charm with newer amenities, a beachy vibe without an attitude. No pretention just relaxation.
You will not be disappointed. I promise...

“Can't keep it a secret...”
Anne ProsserHouston, TX

I've coming here since I was a tot (in the 1950s). We love the location - on the beach, near town and restaurants. I can't imagine not coming in the fall. Weather is ideal. This is a very Laguna place: Comfortable, quirky, and clean. Not schmantsy.

“Views & Value in Laguna we love it.”
Alysa Montgomery11/13/2010
The Laguna Riviera is indeed a Laguna original. As I understand it, it is the only locally family owned hotel in town that has never changed hands or been sold thus giving it tremendous local flavor.
By the end of our recent week long stay in a surf view room with a private deck we are hooked. We met several couples who have been returning year after year, one for over 20 years, for the Indian Summer which occurs late September to early December. They shared with us how it is their favorite season and I can concur. The weather was as beautiful as the views from our deck and the tastefully decorated room we lived in for our week in Laguna.
Another benefit is the winter rates are in effect and the traffic is lighter making for a great value if you have flexibility in when you travel.
The property is clean and in great shape for it's 60 plus years of age. There seemed to be activity everyday actively keeping it in top shape.
All in all we were very happy in our choice to stay at the Riviera and have already booked next years Indian Summer vacation. We cant wait to return and visit some of the wonderful new friends we met this year. Who knows like them we may make this our yearly tradition as well.

“My favorite place”
Carolyn PetersBakersfield, CA

I have an annual trip that I book here every year. I love this place because it is Not corporate. It is quirky and fun. I absolutely adore the art on the walls of the hotel. This is a family owned establishment and the difference is very noticeable to me. It is warm and inviting, and has a wonderful history.

“Very nice”
Christine BlankenshipLos Alamitos, CA
10/20/2010
Stayed in an ocean view room~ big patio overlooking the ocean! Only a small peek of the surf hitting the sand, but lots of open ocean to enjoy. It was nice to hear the surf from the room. The room was redecorated very nicely with flat screen tv, nice tile, and nice bedding. The staff there was fabulous, helpful in every way. Down side? The pool area is right off of PCH and enclosed with fluorescent lights. Game tables were great for kids, but the pool was not for a couple looking for something soothing and relaxing. The shower head in the room is set at 5 feet, which i didn't understand. Breakfast set up is drinks and packaged pastries, so be prepared to go out. The ramp to the beach is quite steep, so much care is needed for older people and wheelchairs. Overall, we liked it very much.

“Wonderful relaxing stay”
Shari LandersSan Francisco, CA

As a frequent visitor top the beautiful town of Laguna Beach, I have had the opportunity to stay at several properties and the Riviera is hands down my fav. The location is spectacular on a bluff overlooking the ocean with easy access to the beach and downtown.
The property is old school Laguna with a splash of flair and style. Very relaxing clean and accommodating. The new room decor is stunning yet not over the top just very cool.
The staff is funny friendly and helpful. All in all I look forward to returning to this charming Inn on the Ocean.

And I have. The best beach and warm pool. BBQ over the ocean. Nice people make you feel so comfortable and relaxed. Romantic but yet the whole family is happy and having a blast all times of the day. Never want to leave but you can walk to the cute shops and restaurants or grocery store.
